Preferred Skills & Qualifications: 

​

Must be between 18-35 years of age. May be 17 years old, but some work restrictions might apply. Must be willing to work outside on a diversity of projects in all kinds of weather while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with various project mentors, community members and fellow crew members. Basic first aid and CPR preferred. Back-country work, travel and camping may be required on Isle Royale National Park. Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.

In a developmental capacity; learn to perform trail maintenance, historic masonry repair, tree removal and maintenance, historic structure repair, wildland fire, shoreline restoration and other duties or special projects as they become available.
